Wine Review: This dark ruby Charbono from Robert Foley was well-received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a very inviting black cherry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well-balanced, round and velvety. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with notes of ripe plum, vanilla and oak. We also detected hints of cherry, strawberry, chocolate and a touch of minerality. It was pretty complex. The finish is dry and its managed tannins and sustained fruit show nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this very good Charbono with a thick cut prime rib. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2016 Charbono offers ripe, red berry candy, and grape jelly aromas with just a touch of lavender floral character. Very lively acidity and medium body address the palate with very fine gentle tannin. Beautifully balanced. This is a very versatile food wine.
