Wine Review: This is the 31st bottling of the “Mirabelle Brut” from Schramsberg. It is white gold colored and opens with random medium bubbles. It features a yeasty and apple cider bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with well medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is a green apple and walnut blend with notes moist of bread yeast and lime. I also detected hints of Anjou pear. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity stick around for a while. I would pair this Sparkler with honey, walnut, and goat cheese crostini appetizers. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This “Mirabelle Brut” engages the nose with generous aromas of apple, pear, apricot, and melon, layered with hints of orange zest, ginger, caramelized pineapple, cinnamon spice, and vanilla. A crisp palate of lime, Meyer lemon and tangerine intermingles with fruitful notes of peach and pear, and finishes with undertones of baked apple, crème brûlée and shortbread cookie.
