Wine Review: This white gold pale straw colored Pinot Blanc from the Finger Lakes opens with a pineapple and Anjou pear bouquet with hints of honey, quince, and lime. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, mouthcoating, and slightly off-dry. The flavor profile is lychee, Honeycrisp apple, and ginger ale blend with notes of almond and lime. We also detected some hints of pineapple, Anjou pear, peach pit minerality, tangerine and saline. The finish is off-dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot Blanc with a roast pork loin with spiced roast apples. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
