Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Seghesio opens with a mild blueberry and oak bouquet with a faint hint of prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a slightly extracted black raspberry and blueberry blend with notes oak. I also detected hints of minerality and macerated black cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins linger and last for quite a while. This Zinfandel is food friendly and would pair nicely with Roy’s rib roast. Enjoy - Ken
