Wine Review: This deep purple colored Zinfandel opens with a blackberry bramble bouquet with a hint of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. It is juicy and fruit forward. Those fruit flavors are blackberry and black plum with notes of flinty minerality. I also detected hints of oak, dried sage, and red licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Zin is food friendly enough to pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Notes of rich marionberry, cinnamon and dried sage fill the bouquet. A luscious entry of plum and huckleberry compote give way to a lengthy mid-palate of velvety tannins and dense structure. Beautifully balanced, this Zin pairs well with beef braciole or cherry balsamic pork tenderloin.
