Wine Review: This clear and medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Tongue Dancer opens with a blackberry and violets bouquet with hints of dark chocolate, iris, and cedar shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, savory, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a juicy black plum and stone dust blend with notes of oak, cinnamon, and marionberry. We also detected hints of oolong tea, orange peel, and just a touch of anise. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Pinot with a venison steak or stew. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Welcome to the 3rd release of our Ramblin' Pinot Noir. Crushed violets. Although we didn't set out to release this wine later than her siblings, it has turned out to be such a benefit to the wine. The 2021 Rambling Fox set the tone for this release schedule, and since Anderson Valley's wines tend to be a bit deep and layered, the extra time in bottle has proved to be so beneficial to the wines, that we decided to go with it. The result has been stellar. The combined length of time in bottle with the exemplary 2023 vintage has resulted in a Pinot Noir worthy of your cellar - as well as your table. Where the 2022 was a big, voluptuous temptress, this 2023 is showing her elegant side - with the higher acid and cool charm of the vintage. If you liked the 2022 Rambling Fox, you will love this 2023.
