Wine Review: This clear and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Barlow opens with a dark chocolate and black cherry bouquet with hints of black currant. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a cedar and blueberry blend with notes of black currant and graphite. I also detected hints of blackberry and cocoa. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined smooth and dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. I would pair this Cab blend with a grilled porterhouse steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Barlow Barrouge arrives with a striking garnet presence and rich, vibrant aromas of sweet vanilla and black cherry. Robust but lively flavors fill the palate, ranging from blackberry to plum, with hints of floral and dark chocolate slipping through. The bold flavors give way to a subtle softness, and finish with velvety tannins lined with a nice delicate spice.
