Definition: Resveratrol
(rez-VAIR-ah-trawl) Is a compound found in red wine, that may be beneficial to the health of your heart. According to the Mayo Clinic there are antioxidants in red wine called polyphenols. Resveratrol is one of these polyphenols. Researchers hypothesize that it might help prevent arteries from becoming clogged with damaging fatty substances. Thess findings are not yet conclusive, but optimism is high.
